"We would like to live as we once lived, but history will not permit it.~John F. Kennedy
Day 30 #inspiredyogis
This quote seems fitting as I spent this morning shooting at the Windfield Manor (est 1450). As I bounced around this incredible castle alone I couldn’t help but imagine what it must have been like to live there.
One of the many reasons I love IGyoga are the locations and adventures that come from exploring and shooting. I hope as I share the photos from today you get a sense of the magical energy of this historic house. I love how IGyoga can capture us deep in a moment or scene.
Let’s talk about chinstand pose! This is the first pose I remember seeing on The Gram a year ago participating in my first yoga challenge and thinking “no way”. I then giver a shot and to my surprise nailed it. If chinstand is not in your practice yet search yogajournal.com
for step by step instructions.
Tip: you’ll start in a low Chaturanga - really squeeze those elbows in as you kick up a leg high -one at a time. That squeeze of the elbows (and boobs) is key to stabilize your chest and back as your legs go up. Listen to your body - do what you can. If chinstand is not happening today- do a low Chaturanga with one leg up as high as possible.
Watch all of us for our final Day 31. A big squeeze and thank you for sharing your practice with us this month. We know there’s so many yoga challenges now to choose from so just knowing you pick us to play with means a ton.@monkeymix @rachelanna_yoga and I love you. XOXO❤️💣❤️💣❤️💣
